Grace M. M. Strahan originally hated writing.

On a dare from her mom when she was in middle school, Grace saw writing transform from a chore into a challenge, evolving into a passion.

Ever since that fateful dare, Grace has always been motivated by the impossible.

That principle bleeds into every story and image she creates because life is better with one foot in the fantastic, whether it be dragons, superheroes, or undefeatable hope.

Undefeatable hope at first was easy. After being the theater kid in high school, she began studying a career in filmmaking. She wrote, produced, and directed a theatrical production in under nine months whose performances raised over $1,300 for charity, and her art commission business’ first customer ended up being the cute guy that she fell for.

But when Grace M. M. Strahan decided to switch from her original dreams of becoming a filmmaker to enroll in the Author Conservatory and become a professional author, Grace found herself smack up against a wall of self-doubt, disbelief, and depression. Fighting against her own mind and inner demons plus the fear that writing wasn’t a viable career, Grace discovered firsthand that she needed the impossible to be true.

Through a lot of prayer and leaps of faith Grace fought her way back to a healthier mind, and through the help of her husband she decided to throw herself afresh into making her author dreams come true.

Now, whether it’s writing high-action speculative fiction, painting and drawing, or loving on her family, Grace always endeavors to create fantastical, adventurous stories for nerds outgrowing Neverland. For people who find hope in the impossible and live with one foot in the fantastic, just like she does.

When she’s not writing, Grace M. M. Strahan works at a nonprofit where she speaks on a weekly basis to hundreds of people, inspiring them to compassion and hope.

Grace lives in the northern United States with her equally nerdy husband and daughter, where there is an appalling lack of superheroes, pirate ships, and dragons.
